Our Values

Encounters: We want everyone who visits Destination to Encounter the life changing message and power of Jesus Christ. Eph. 2:8
We believe, God can do more in a person’s life with one encounter in His Presence than we can do through all our efforts. (James 4:8,10; John 4:23, Acts 3:19; Hebrews 10:19-22)
We think, Growth is a natural result of a relationship with God. As we grow closer to Him, we are changed into His image. That's the only way to achieve real, lasting change. It's a process that continues throughout our lives as we grow in faith, love, maturity and knowledge. (We are NOT perfect) “We will hold to the truth in love, becoming more and more in every way like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.” Ephesians 4:15
Experience’s: Seeing the gospel lived out….. Growth goes with this pillar as well. We want unity on our staff, we want unity in our church, and we want unity with other churches who are preaching the Gospel. Unity is critical. We don’t gossip; we speak life; we don’t tear down; we build up. Just because we are a diverse body, doesn’t mean we should be a divided one. (Acts 4:32; Psalm 133; Ephesians 4:3)
God has ever expanded resources. They are NEVER depleted. We never lose when we generously give. Whenever we give God our best, He gives us a new best. Being generous is not a money problem; it is always a heart problem. We will be generous-hearted people. (Proverbs 11:24-25; 2 Corinthians 9:6-12)
We want to Inspire. The world has hurt and pain, but we are glass half-full people, and the glass comes with free refills! Pain in this life will happen, but we will answer that pain with hope. We truly believe that in Jesus, the best is yet to come! (Psalm 23:5; Romans 15:13; 2 Corinthians 4:16-18; Romans 5:1-5)
Engagement: Life is meant to do together.
Next Generation. We say “we will risk everything for the next generation to know Jesus.” It may be costly, but it is worth it. (Psalms 78:5-7; Proverbs 22:6; Mark 9:42; Matthew 19:14)
Authentic. We are real people doing real life together. We are committed to learning and sharing our failures so that we can all move forward. We are going to tell the truth, in love, no matter the cost. (1 John 1:6-10; Proverbs 28:13; James 5:16)
We want every person who walks through our doors each week to have an Encounter with Jesus Christ, to see the gospel being Experienced for themselves by how we treat others and how much fun we can have, all while having real authentic Engagement with other poeple.
